ONE GOD - - THE TRINITY
ONE GOD IN THREE PERSONS, COEQUAL IN POWER, NATURE, AND ETERNITY

ILLUSTRATIONS: Not 1+1+1 =3, But 1x1x1=1; one man=body, soul, spirit;    one egg = yoke, whites, shell; H2O=water (LIQUID), steam (VAPOR), ice (SOLID).    Jesus is the "Living Water."  If any man thirsts, let him come to Jesus and drink.

THE TRINITY . . . is one God in three persons, coequal in power, nature, and eternity: The Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit; (The Father is not Jesus. The Father is not the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is not Jesus. Yet The Father is God, Jesus is God, and the Holy Spirit is God)- ONE GOD!
"Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might." Deut 6:4-5 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us..." John 1:14 "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."John 4:24 3 in 1

WHY WAS JESUS SUBORDINATE TO THE FATHER?....made himself of no reputation. Phil 2:5-11 During his time on earth, he emptied himself and made himself of no reputation. Always remember that Jesus walked this earth as not only being 100% God, but also as 100% man. Phil 2:7; John 5:30; 20:17.

IS JESUS REALLY GOD? Yes! Birth of Jesus: Matt 1:23...Emmanuel = God with us. ". . the Word was made flesh, . ." John 1:1,14; 20:28; Heb 1:3-9...v. 8 says, "But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever:..." Phil 2:6; Col 1:15; 2:9-10; Rom 9:5; Titus 2:13, Isa 9:6.

IS THE HOLY SPIRIT GOD? Yes! DEITY: Matt 28:19; Acts 5:3,4; I Cor 6:11; 2 Cor 13:14 PROVED BY WORKS: creating Gen 1:2 inspiring 2 Peter 1:21;(Rev 19:10); begetting Christ Luke 1:35; interceding Rom 8:26, 27; sanctifying 2 Thess 2:13; convincing men Jn 16:8; regenerating Jn 3:5-6; Jn 14:6; comforter and helper Jn 14:16

DIVINE ATTRIBUTES: truth 1 Jn 5:6; life Rom 8:2; wisdom Isa 40:13; holiness Luke 11:13.

WHAT IS A THEOPHANY? ONE CALLED "THE ANGEL OF THE LORD" IS GOD: (JESUS?) Exodus33:20; Genesis 16:7-13; 32:30; 48:15,16;Joshua 5:13-15; (Exodus 3:3-6); Judges 6:11; 13: 20-22; also: John 1:18.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE HEBREW NAMES FOR GOD?

LORD....YAHWEH or JEHOVAH [YHWH] (Given in reference to the holiness of the LORD.)

Lord.....ADONAI (Given in reference to the master/servant relationship between God and man)

lord..... ADON (This is not a name of God, but rather a title given to some men. def: master; sir. Sarah called her husband, Abra-ham: lord, not LORD.)

GOD.....YAHWEH or JEHOVAH [YHWH] (The same name as for LORD)

God......ELOHIM (Given in reference to the one true God. EL = God and the IM shows a plurality within the one true God.)

god.....ELOHIM (Given in reference to judges, magistrates, worldly gods. Although the same Hebrew word, ELOHIM, the translators use a small "g" to place a distinction between the one true God and the others.)

ALMIGHTY GOD...... EL SHADDAI (Given in reference to GOD as the one who sustains us.)

MOST HIGH GOD......EL ELYON (Given in reference to the one true GOD who can cross boundaries which is in direct contrast to localized deities.)

WHAT ARE THREE ATTRIBUTES OF GOD? Omniscience (All Knowing) I Corinthians 2:10-11, Omniprescence (All Present) Psalm 139:7, Omnipotent (All Powerful) Genesis 1:2.

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND THAT JESUS IS GOD?
Because Jesus said, "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins." John 8:24
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."John 14:6
