WEDDING VOWS

Name of Groom & Bride

VOWS: "To God, Commitment of Love, Till death do us part."

RINGS: "CIRCULAR (No ending, loyalty)"

PURE METAL (gold, fidelity, set apart),

SYMBOLIC (Honor - outward sign, privilege)

PASTOR says:

"If anyone here has any objections to this couple getting married, let them speak now or forever hold their peace!" (a short moment of silence. )

GROOM says:

BRIDE’S NAME, I PROMISE / WITH GOD’S HELP / TO BE YOUR FAITHFUL HUSBAND / TO LOVE / AND TO CHERISH YOU / AS CHRIST COMMANDS / IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH / FOR BETTER OR WORSE / AS LONG AS WE BOTH SHALL LIVE / TILL DEATH DO US PART / OR TILL JESUS COMES BACK.

BRIDE’S NAME, I GIVE YOU THIS RING / BEFORE GOD AND MAN / AS A SIGN OF MY PROMISE / AND NEVER ENDING LOVE.

BRIDE says:

GROOM’S NAME, I PROMISE / WITH GOD’S HELP / TO BE YOUR FAITHFUL WIFE / TO LOVE, AND OBEY YOU / AS CHRIST COMMANDS / IN SICKNESS AND IN HEALTH / FOR BETTER OR FOR WORSE / AS LONG AS WE BOTH SHALL LIVE / TILL DEATH DO US PART / OR TILL JESUS COMES BACK.

GROOM’S NAME, I GIVE YOU THIS RING / BEFORE GOD AND MAN/ AS A SIGN OF MY PROMISE / AND NEVER ENDING LOVE.

FOR AS MUCH AS "NAMES OF GROOM & BRIDE" HAVE CONSENTED TOGETHER IN HOLY WEDLOCK AND HAVE WITNESSED THE SAME BEFORE GOD AND MAN. AND THERE TO HAVE PLEDGED THEIR FAITH EACH TO THE OTHER, AND HAVE DECLARED THE SAME BY JOINING HANDS AND BY THE GIVING AND RECEIVING RINGS AND EACH OTHER.

I NOW PRONOUNCE THAT THEY ARE HUSBAND AND WIFE TOGETHER, IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

Example of a 7:00PM WEDDING

Groom & Bride

6:40 PM - General Praise Music - 20 Minutes before Start.

7:00 PM - Pastor & Groom sitting in front row for prayer. Marriage license address filled out.

7:10 PM - Pastor & Groom walk to center platform from the side. After they are there, and facing center, the special Processional Music begins, thereby cuing the Best Man & Maid of Honor to slowly enter from the hallway.

(Optional) Depending on the size of the Wedding Party. The next couple will follow about 15 feet behind. If there are children ring bearers, they will follow last, followed only by the Father of the Bride & the Bride.

When the Father of the Bride & the Bride reach the end of the white runner, they will turn slowly and stop there, waiting for the Wedding March to begin. All will rise as The Father of the Bride and the Bride walk to the front of the Platform at which place they will remain facing foreward.

Pastor: "Who gives this Woman?" Father of the Bride says, "Her mother & I do!"...or an appropriate response. Groom will then go down & get the Bride. A special thanks goes to the father and mother of the Bride, while the father sits down.

The Wedding March will again play as the Groom and Bride go "very slowly" up the steps (if there are steps). The Maid of Honor will, if necessary, spread out the back of the Bride’s dress when she reaches the top of the platform.

Vows & Ring exchange led by Pastor

Pronouncement as Husband & Wife: "Mr and Mrs. Husband’s First & Last Name "

Special Music by ______________ (optional)

Lighting of Candles (during special music) (optional)

Communion (during special music) (optional)

Salvation Call by Pastor to those attending the Wedding.

The KISS - "Wife’s name: ‘You may kiss your husband!"

Presentation: Pastor & couple turn toward friends and the Pastor says, "I now present to you Mr. & Mrs. ________ _________!" Recessional music immediately begins.

Recessional Music - Bride & Groom exit followed by Bridal Party & Stand in line near the front door. When people exit, they will greet the Bridal Party first, the Bride next, the Groom next, followed by both the Bride & Groom’s Parents who will be ushered from the chapel starting from the front to the back row.

Marriage License is signed.
